"Ever-growing" Ebenezer A.M.E. Church continues to "Move on with God by Faith!"

 

On Sunday, February 24, 2002, at 4:00 P.M., our Religious Academic Mentoring Ministry, hosted our annual Black History Month Celebration. The music for this program was provided by Goodwill Presbyterian, USA Gospel choir.

 The pastor's Aide Ministry honored, Rev. Leo Chapman, Jr. for 14 years of Preaching the Gospel, Pastor La Verne Chapman, Pastor of Strong Towers Ministries, Darlington, South Carolina was the speaker for this occasion.

The Trustee board hosted its first annual program on Sunday, March 24, 2002. The Speaker was Rev. Donnie McBride, Pastor of Greater Lane Chapel A.M.E Church. During this program, our Trustees also burned the mortgage on our church and the church's van. Ebenezer A.M.E. Church hosted our annual Family and Friends Day Celebration on Sunday, April 21, 2002. The Rt. Rev. Henry Allen Belin, Jr. Presiding prelate of the A.M.E. Church of the Seventh Episcopal District, was our speaker. Bishop Belin Delivered the message "burning Hearts." Bishop Belin left our hearts burning and yearning for more of God's Words! Some of our other special distinguished guests were Presiding Elder Mccants-Presiding Elder of the Sumter District, Jessie Hines-South Carolina House of Representatives District #62, Rev. Drucilla Harvin, Rev, C. N. Howard-retired Minister of the A.M.E. Church, Rev. Effie B. Greene-Associate Minister of Bethel A.M.E. Darlington, SC, and the Honorable David Weeks- South Carolina House of Representatives.

Also, during this program, Pastor Chapman, and Trustee Davis dedicated our new church parsonage and land.

We thank God for what he has done for us.
